Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Fifthorbit (54/142, Rayapuram Main Road, Tiruppur - 641601, Tamil Nadu, India) handles personal data on our website and, once sign-ups open, in our AI document-drafting product. We keep it in plain language on purpose. It is written to meet our obligations under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
1. What we collect
- What you send us — emails you write to us, including career applications and early-access requests, and the details you include in them.
- Account details (when sign-ups open) — name, email address, phone number and preferred language.
- Documents you provide — files you upload (for example previous deeds, extracts, statements or identity documents) and the details you enter, used solely to prepare your drafts.
- Usage information — basic technical logs needed to run and secure the Service. The website does not use advertising trackers.
2. How we use it
To provide the Service: preparing drafts from the details and files you give us, maintaining your account, enforcing fair-use limits, responding to you, and keeping the Service secure. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your documents to build products for anyone else.
3. AI processing
Drafting and document-detail extraction are performed with AI service providers (such as Anthropic). Content is processed transiently through their APIs to generate your draft and is not used by them to train AI models under the API terms we use.
4. Where data is stored
We use established cloud infrastructure providers for our databases, file storage and hosting. Your data — and transient processing by the AI providers described above — may be handled on servers outside India, as permitted by the DPDP Act for transfers to jurisdictions the Government of India has not restricted.
5. Sharing
We share data only with the service providers needed to run the Service (hosting, storage, AI processing, email delivery), under agreements that limit their use of it, or where the law requires disclosure. No selling, no advertising networks.
6. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the Service or as the law requires. You can delete individual documents from your account, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data entirely.
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can request access to the personal data we hold about you, correction of inaccurate data, and erasure. Write to contact@fifthorbit.in and we will respond within the timelines the law prescribes. If you are unsatisfied, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Children
The Service is intended for professionals and is not directed at children.

We will update this policy as the product evolves and note the new effective date here. Material changes will be notified to registered users by email.
